I don’t draw many self portraits these days, but I drew one tonight, and I think it’s the most eerie one I’ve ever drawn. It isn’t a great representation of myself, but I think I captured some kind of weird, idealized essence.  And surprisingly, I enjoyed capturing my thinning hair.

I decided today that I do not have enough nonsense in my life. The daily grind has conditioned me to focus on results.   Nonsense has much worth. It is play. It is light. It’s the opposite of burden. I don’t care what it means, but I hope the action of it makes me and you more alive.
