Hi guys, I made a trailer for my Youtube channel. Why? Because Youtube said I should.

Take a look and subscribe. Or don’t!

Here’s the first episode of my new animated series Cousins. I’ve been drawing these guys for a while, and I’m pretty thrilled to finally bring them to life. Let me know if you dig it or not. I will be posting new episodes soon!

Cousins is sort of a continuation of my old short Kid Show, but with new adult view-points. My hope is to express emotions ranging from derpy comedy, to genuine sadness. It’s a vehicle for me to explore situations that don’t necessarily apply to my own…

…or do they?

A Series of Deceptions. Were YOU deceived?

Here’s a film I made about music. I made it using the Vine app on my iPhone. It’s a 6 second loop. You can see my puffy, just-woke-up eyes.

eSo yeah, I’m on what you might call an “Adventure Time Manic Episode.” The Ice King made me do it.

So my friend had an Adventure Time birthday party this past October, so I went as the Ice King—the character I’m most like. Ha!  This video shows me trying to get into character while we were trying to find parking.

This past fall, I had the privilege of animating this fun little music video for Seattle’s Office of Sustainability & Environment. I did all the illustration and animation, which is showcased on the campaign site: http://www.seattlecan.org. Chris Ballew did the music.

Hi Tom! Several years ago when I was younger, I discovered your early animation clips (thanks to recommendations on another site I visited), and I got a kick out of the creativity of everything on your website. I recently remembered your work and was pleasantly surprised to find that you had a blog here on Tumblr. Anyway, I just wanted to say thanks for making such cool creations, and keep up the good work :D -Tyler

Hey Tyler! Thanks for the message. Yeah, I like the Tumblr setup. It’s simple and easy to update. I still have my tomthinks.com website, but since it’s more complicated to update/organize, things just end up on here more often. I’ve always had an overwhelming amount of ideas and projects going on, but it’s frustrating for me to have to think about how to display and organize it… so thanks to you, Tumblr creators. And thanks again to you, Tyler, for the support and encouragement. Sometimes it feels like I’m making art, packing it into a rocket and blasting it off into space, hoping aliens will find it, but you’ve proven today that there are people watching and listening. Aliens do exist!

My sister-in-law Heather recently broke her leg, which is very unfortunate, but at least she’s reaping the benefits!

On the 4th of July, my buddy Mike Wurn took some slow-motion footage of my brother Travis and I doing death-defying jumps onto a trampoline.

I was at my parents the other day and spotted these two bees wrestling around on the deck. I had my macro lens with me, so I took some extreme-close-up video. They move sooo fast! It looks like a slapping fight.

I also made a goofy little score to go with it. I shot this with my iPhone 4 using a Photojojo macro lens.

So I’ve been really into taking photos of very tiny things since I got my macro lens for my iPhone. Check out this fly I saw at the grocery store.. you can see his sucking mouth thingy!

So I made my video about tarping almost 10 years ago… but I was young and stupid and used a copyrighted song as the music. Youtube was onto me and disabled the sound, so I’ve edited a new version with one of my own songs. I don’t think it’s the greatest fit ever, but at least it’s MINE. The edit is slightly new, but mostly the same as the original, and I added a title and credits, so check it.
